Listed on this page are the archives in MP3 format of the Road Journal Podcast.
I am continuing to podcast excerpts from the online Road Journal, as well as original music, text/sound poetry, ambient recordings, sonic experiments, and general madness. The podcast has grown, since its inception in April 2005, to a huge size, so I am now periodically archiving old episodes, to make room for new ones. Thus, as new episodes are added to the podcast, old episodes will be moved to this location. You can still hear any of the old installments of the Road Journal by clicking on them here, or downloading them from here, to listen to at your leisure.
The Road Journal Podcast features readings of the ongoing Road Journal, along with original poetry and music, by a nomadic visionary creative artist, musician, and writer. Each chapter is recorded in a different acoustic space, and treated with filters, processing, and editing, using chance methods. This process converts the written text into text/sound poetry.

Archived Episode Key
d as a suffix means decimate: these are short excerpts processed using sonic decimation filters.
f as a suffix means frohmage, the name of a VST resonant filter I use to desecrate some audio files.
gs or ktgran as a suffix means granular synthesis: a segment of the original file has been re-composed using granular synthesis software, then re-edited to make a new sonic experience out of the original episode. I frequently use two pieces of freeware for granular synthesis, the VST plug-in KTGranulator, and the the stand-alone app thOnk.
433 as a suffix means a performance, on location, of John Cage's piece 4'33". More on 4'33", and yet more.
Episodes are listed in reverse chronological order, with the most recent episodes on top.
